Why Are My Depop Listings Not Getting Views? 9 Checks
Check 1: When did you last refresh?
The algorithm gives recently refreshed listings a visibility boost and lets everything else sink. If your newest edit-and-save was two weeks ago, that alone explains the flatline — and it's the cheapest fix: a daily refresh pass across the whole shop, automated in one click or 30–60 seconds per listing by hand.
Check 2: Are brand, size, colour and condition fields filled?
Depop's search and filters pull from structured fields — a beautifully written description on a listing with an empty brand or size field is invisible to anyone filtering by them. Set every field, every listing. This is the most common silent killer on otherwise decent shops.
Check 3: Is your first photo actually tappable?
The first photo decides whether a buyer who sees you in search taps at all. Plain bright background, item centered, natural light. Cluttered floors, dim yellow lamp light and group shots as the cover are the three recurring offenders.
Check 4: Do your titles contain what buyers type?
"cute vintage top" is unfindable; "Vintage Levi's 501 Jeans W30 L32" is found. Lead with brand, item type, size and notable features. Save personality for the description.
Check 5: Are you priced against sold listings?
Overpriced listings collect views without likes — and since Depop weighs likes heavily, view-only listings stop being shown. Check what the same item in similar condition sold for recently (sold prices are real; asking prices are fiction), and adjust.
Check 6: Is the listing in the right category?
A "y2k halter top" filed under Accessories will never surface for top searches. Wrong category = wrong audience pool, no matter how fresh you are.
Check 7: Did the early-engagement window die?
Depop tests listings with small audiences first. If the first hours produce no likes, it stops showing the listing. A refresh gives it another audition — but the underlying fix is photo/price quality so the next audition converts.
Check 8: Are you active outside your listings?
Responding to offers and messages quickly is a ranking signal separate from freshness. A shop that goes quiet for days reads as inactive across all its listings. Five minutes of replies a day is part of visibility maintenance.
Check 9: Could it be a flag, not a slump?
If views collapsed across the whole shop suddenly (not gradually), or new listings get near-zero traffic instantly, rule out a policy suppression before optimizing anything — see the shadowban signs and recovery steps here.
